Position – Remittance Clerk

Core Responsibilities –

  • Process/verifies telegraphic transfers, both incoming and outgoing thru FTS (Fund Transfer Team) and SWIFT.
  • Investigate and answers remittance related queries from Central Banks and Foreign Correspondent Banks
  • Responsible for control and issuance of Manager’s Check and Demand Draft
  • Process special clearing, Foreign Bills for collection, Stop Payment Order and Standing Orders.
  • Process WPS Salary and DDS (Direct Debit System)
  • Process buying and selling of foreign currency to Treasury Department.
  • Assist in processing of Bank Guarantee and Interface of Account Opening/Closing of Savings/Current, Time Deposit and Loan Set-up.
  • Helps in the system enhancement of Central Bank FTS (Fund Transfer Team), WPS (Wages Protection System), DDS (Direct Debit System) Reconcile transactions base on summary reports of Central Bank Fund Transfer System and SWIFT, monitor outstanding items in Nostro Accounts and pass necessary entries.
  • Prepares daily balancing of Manager’s Check, BRF reports for Central Bank, monthly proof sheet and reconciliation items for the Remittance section.
  • Assist in promoting operational effectiveness and improve efficiency standards.
  • Provides excellent customer service at all times.
  • Any other assignment given by Department Head or Branch Management from time to time.
