Summary: As a Junior Packaging Engineer, you will actively contribute to the development of packaging solutions within our product range. Reporting to the SeniorPackaging Engineer, you will work alongside a team of experienced packaging engineers. Your role will involve applying your technical skills in packaging engineering, including conducting functional and dimension analyses, gaining insights into manufacturing processes, and developing material knowledge. This position places you at the forefront of innovation, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, aesthetically pleasing, and functional packaging. Additionally, you will support process optimization, best practices, and contribute to maintaining excellent quality in our packaging development endeavors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Project and Coordination:
- Own the development and industrialization of our product portfolio, ensuring alignment with established product timelines.
- Develop innovative and sustainable packaging solutions that align with Kayali’s brand values and aesthetic.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure seamless integration of packaging solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple packaging development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with overall product timelines.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture within a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptable and proactive, demonstrating flexibility to respond to evolving priorities and business requirements.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing team to assist in managing packaging development cost and budgets effectively.
- Contribute to identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Gain exposure to developing packaging solutions for a global market and understanding regional preferences and regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to contribute to common goals.
Technical Support and Analysis:
- Collaborate with Senior Packaging Engineer’s to analyse and understand packaging requirements.
- Conduct functional and dimension analysis, contributing to the technical aspects of packaging development.
- Gain proficiency in manufacturing processes, material knowledge, and related technical expertise.
Problem-Solving and Technical Innovation:
- Support the identification and resolution of technical issues related to packaging design, materials or manufacturing and work on action plans with the management.
- Dedication to staying up to date on the latest developments in packaging technology, sustainability practices, and current industry trends, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning.
Quality Assurance, Quality Control:
- Collaborate with the QA/QC team to implement quality assurance processes for packaging materials and designs, compatibility with formula and test reports.
- Support the maintenance of high-quality standards throughout the production process.
- Work closely with suppliers to foster a great environment for our product developments.
Regulatory Compliance Assistance:
- Work closely with regulatory teams to understand and apply packaging regulations in the cosmetics industry.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable guidelines and standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Entry-level candidates or up to 2 years of experience in packaging development.
- Interest and passion for the cosmetics or beauty industry.
- Basic knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and industry trends.
- Exposure or willingness to learn CAD design, 3D printing and rendering (Solidworks, KeyShot).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
