Senior AR Accountant

As Abgad’s Senior AR Accountant, you are part of the team that secures company revenue by verifying and posting incoming payments and resolving any discrepancies. Key to your success is ensuring payment receipt, financial handling and posting for all actions/services provided and records these transactions accordingly.

Accountabilities:

• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with Abgad’s financial policies and procedures
• Work very closely with the Collections team for planning, reviewing and reconciling due amounts
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data with accurate booking
• Calculate and post accounting figures and financial records
• Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’/debtors’ billing issues
• Cooperate with the Customer Experience team for handling any customer issues related to pay back
• Manage Incoming cashflow and verify any differences, coordinating with internal teams for accurate reporting by reconciliation of incoming payments to ensure that all payments are accounted for and accurately posted
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Commerce
• 4+ years of experience in AR, experience working in consumer finance is a plus
• Working knowledge of Finance ERP systems, Odoo is a plus
• Experience working with payment platforms, dashboards and their reconciliations
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
