We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven General Manager to join our upcoming luxurious Hyatt Centric Cairo West Hotel in Egypt.

The ideal candidate has a fruitful international experience as General Manager within a reputed hospitality chain.

This is a key role which will require you to be strategic thinking, hands-on and commercially savvy to scale up our business from the top of the bottom line. You will also support the C.O.O & CEO in ensuring that all policies, protocols and standards are upheld while working to fulfil the company’s vision.

Key Responsibilities and Functions:

Manage full Hotel operations

Follow up projects to keep the hotel on top of competition

Review the hotel management structure functions to result in better economics and efficiency

  • Be an ambassador for the guest journey and ensure brand values and service behaviors are delivered consistently in a professional and friendly environment.
  • Lead and develop great teams across all departments to achieve exceptional performance within the key indicators of profit, people and RGI.
  • Creatively find opportunities to generate and increase revenue and brand awareness
  • Ensure overall compliance with all hotel health and safety, fire, food safety and financial acumen and reporting


Human Resources:

Focus on management team and high potentials to ensure proper continuous additions needed in the future

Increase productivity and efficiency

Concentrate on the essential within HR, optimize job assignments within the team to increase effectiveness

Sales & Marketing:

Full take over Sales to ensure better yielding overall and higher commitments under General Manager

Manage all marketing work, PR, events for better brand building and positive impact on positioning Sup which will/should impact process positively

Positioning: Ensure to maintain benchmarking in comp set and HC, TA and booking.com

Finance:

Full focus on cost saving including HLP, projects, suppliers and staffing without jeopardizing guest satisfaction, quality and existing standards

Full focus on GOP enhancement to deliver proper GOP and NOP while fully committed to pay bank

Cash flow management aligned with Finance by setting clear priorities

Taking all measures % actions according to budget to secure efficient and effective results

Purchasing:

Review all supplier deals and implement consolidation to result in a min 10% saving in procurement.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate is a seasoned and highly intelligent hotel professional with outstanding, management skills and extensive hands-on experience. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
  • You will have a minimum of 10 years GM experience within an upscaled branded environment (GM experience; or Hungry Number 2 currently Hotel Manager within a large operation in an upscaled branded hotel chain)
  • Your background will demonstrate an excellent business performance, producing significant profit conversion and a strong commercial awareness of your business. Your strong leadership and communication style will ensure you have the ability to engage with people at all levels and have a natural flair for coaching.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, any additional language is a plus


Overall, your ability to create a culture of team engagement and service excellence will be key to this role along with your aspiration to grow the business.
