Quantity Surveyor

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient cost management and quantity surveying services to our clients. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from the planning and design phase to the final delivery. Your exceptional skills in project management and construction cost assessment will be crucial in ensuring the success of these projects.

Responsibilities Include

• Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs for construction projects
• Preparing detailed estimates and cost plans at various stages of the project, including tender, pre-construction, and construction phases
• Collaborating with project teams to monitor and control project costs, ensuring that they stay within budget
• Conducting cost analyses and value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Providing regular reports on project costs and progress to clients and other stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Supporting the development and implementation of sustainable construction practices
• Mentoring and providing guidance to junior quantity surveyors within the team
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques
• Ability to use industry-standard software for quantity surveying and cost management
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Membership with a relevant professional body such as RICS or AIQS will be an added advantage.
