Description

As an IT Support Engineer Intern, you will work closely with the IT support team to provide technical assistance and support to end-users within the organization. You will gain hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with network and system administration tasks, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the IT infrastructure. This internship is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop essential IT skills in a real-world business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

User Support:

  • Respond to user inquiries and provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Assist in resolving problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.

Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues by guiding users through step-by-step solutions or escalating issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.

Software Installation and Configuration:

  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications on user devices.
  • Ensure that software licenses are up to date and compliant with company policies.

Hardware Maintenance:

  • Perform routine maintenance on computer equipment, including updates, upgrades, and patches.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to manage inventory and track hardware assets.

Network Support:

  • Help troubleshoot and resolve basic network issues.
  • Assist in maintaining network security measures, including firewalls and antivirus software.

Documentation:

  • Document and update support procedures, technical guides, and knowledge base articles.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with IT team members to identify and implement improvements to the IT infrastructure.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Ad-Hoc Projects:

  • Contribute to special projects as assigned by senior IT staff.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
